The Kane Williamson Average Watch thread

Will Kane average 50 in both ODIs and Tests at some point before Feb 2017?

Whatever it takes!!!
I reckon Kane has an unpaid library fine from Primary School or something. That's the skeleton in his closet; his one eternal failing for which he has to atone by scoring billions of runs and being an awesome bloke.

And yours will be not rating Murali Vijay. :p

Does Robelinda still post here? Are there any highlights of his recent knocks in Australia? Can't find anything on youtube.
Don't think he likes posting stuff that recent, gets him in trouble with the broadcasting companies.

I didn't notice the extra movement in his backlift in the early part of his career. Seems to be a relatively recent development. I think it takes a bit away aesthetically but you can't have everything.

His straight drives, on drives, controlled pull shots, straight hits down the ground against spin are pure Tendulkar 2.0. Very reminiscent of how Sachin used to play, especially in his second purple patch between 2007-2011.

I thought I'd bump this before kiwiviktor gets the chance. 50.02 Now for a century today and a couple of successful ODI series.

He didn't get his first ODI fifty until September 2014 I think. Then reeled off something like 5/6 in a row during the World Cup. WAG.

Kohli's t20 stats are hax. Some years ago I saw that he was averaging 44 and something and was sure that he won't be able to sustain it. Funny now that he has actually improved on it.

So I'm guessing it's widely accepted now that Williamson has dropped out of the "Big 3" for Kohli?

Never realised how ordinary Smith's LO stats are.
Played 80% of his career as a bowler, before he learned to bat

Since he became a batsman he averages ~45 I think

His ODI stats aren't that bad, but he played a fair bit as a bit-and-pieces player when he was 20 and not yet ready. As others have hinted he's improved a lot since then.

T20 he's just not good at.
