***Official*** West Indies in Australia 2015/16

Australia had agreed to play a three test series against Pakistan in the UAE but the PCB asked to reduce it to two tests so they could play more LO matches. On top of that Australia will have played five test matches against NZ by the end of summer yet you want more than that.
I'd take 10 back to back Aus v NZ tests rather than this garbage tbh.

Most NZ players would kill to play a boxing day test so they would have loved to been invited for the Boxing day Test.

West Indies have not turned crap overnight, they should have known that giving them the showpiece tests of their calendar was at best a very brave call.

I think we next play you in tests after this summer about 8 years from now.
I'm just a cricket lover who hates what's happened this summer. We Kiwi's love watching the Aussie home summer but I agree it's been dire, and will get worse. 2 more embarrassing tests and then a bunch of meaningless ODI's against your Big 3 mates.
The prep for our series felt like a stitch-up. The administrators got Adelaide right but little else.

NZ lost 2-0 to Australia this summer, and just for the record NZ have played more matches in Australia than WI over the last ten years.

Yes and Australia deserved the series, but NZ were competitive and it wasn't a surprise when they went past 200 runs. Heck if they batted with a brain on the third morning of the last test it could have been 1-1. This series exists solely to boost Australia batting stats and that is it.

To those wahhing about the scheduling of the series, you have to remember these things were set in stone years ago, when New Zealand were just as bad as the West Indies. And to adjust it now would just make a mess of other series.

I know nz are a side on the rise and are a lot better than the West Indies, but they'll get beaten 8 or 9 times out of ten here. I thought this series just gone would be their time - Australia had so many retirements and injuries in the lead up, and were there for the taking, but Williamson and Taylor aside they were very disappointing.

Obviously they'd be at worst even money at home though.

Sidds cranking it up to 125

For his sake, I hope he is carrying an injury as he has looked very pedestrian in the last 2 tests

That theory's fine if you genuinely believe NZ were anywhere close to their best in the series (even discounting the old saying about only playing as well as the opposition allows you). I don't, I think NZ were a long way below par, especially in Brisbane and IMO snatched defeat from the jaws of victory at Adelaide.

Additionally, I will give Australia credit for being the best side in the world on flat pitches that don't go sideways in which bounce and pace become the real differentiator. So if the 10 games were on those type of wickets, as opposed to more sporting balanced wickets, then I agree Aust would be hot favorites, but even then I'm not sure it would be 8-9 out of 10 wins.

Umm when did that happen.

It's somewhat ironic that after all the times WindieWeathers derailed New Zealand tour threads into irrelevant discussions about the West Indies, we're now discussing New Zealand in the Aus-WI thread.

Umm, when they decided to bowl like absolute muppets to the tail after that decision went against them, crucially delaying their 2nd time at bat to later in the evening under lights.

With a lead of around 80 and about a session to bat before the natural light starting to fade, they were in pole position imo.

True, perhaps a subconscious thing.

Got it.

Bowling bad
Poor decision
May or may not have scored some runs

And they would have won.

So the west Indies only have to get a lead of 200 here and they are in with a shot to I suppose.
