One of the most agonising losses ever, but well done Aussies. Deserved the series win.

What a brilliant game of Test Cricket. One of the best home Test matches I've seen for ages. NZ definitely have plenty to work with and are going to be extremely difficult over the ditch in the return series.

Just a few passages of really poor cricket, plus the umpiring shocker have really cost us this test.

****. That last half an hour or so was really tense. Well played all.

New Zealand unlucky to not win I suspect but their approach with the lower order needed to be better and I think in general Australia were the better side all series.

Such a delightful match after so many disgusting pitches offering feasts for the gourmand batsmen out there.

So skeptical about D/N Tests originally but hopefully this match doesn't prove to be a diamond in the rough, great concept.

Agree. But reverse the umpiring howler (which I think got Baz so wound up he made some dumb captaincy decisions in the next hour, regardless of how Taylor tried to spin it in last night's post-play media conference) and it would probably have been 1-1, and we'd be talking about the great escape.

Hope NZ cricket take notice and get groundsmen to leave some grass on the pitches this summer.

Pink ball, red ball, day or night, if there is one thing to take out of this game (and there were lots of good things) then it must be that leaving a bit of grass on the pitch is no bad thing for Test cricket.

So so so much better game than Perth (or your usual Roadelaide test).

Well, I don't know what to say. Its just been horrible after the the world cup for us. Don't know how this will get fixed but cricket's a funny game. 9 months ago you're smacking dale steyn into the stands and 9 months later you're looking at another overhyped "best NZ team ever! best NZ team ever" drawing something or losing something they should have won. Hopefully something big happens to change things here. Just been disappointing.
