I remember when Flibberty posted all that stuff about winning the Champions League with Farsley Celtic, which was about as plausible as one of my Cricket Chat posts.

I'm being facetious of course.

I wanted the bees up over donny that day, but must admit it was humorous seeing the Bournemouth fans go quiet on the pitch having lost the title

That quickly evaporated of course given they had got up the week before, but.

How good is this game? Surely you want a degree of realism. The only person I know personally who plays it took Cheltenham into the Premier League, so it's degree of realism appears to be small.
It's a good game with broken AI. Game becomes a piece of piss after 3 seasons because the AI is hopeless at squad building.

Played for a bit with my Arsenal save the other day (am in 2019 now I think).

Anyway, it was one of those times when I wanted to throw my laptop out of the window. Was playing away at Liverpool, went 3-0 up, reached half time, all looking good, until disaster strikes and Jose Gaya has to go off injured. Kieran Gibbs was injured at the time as well, so the only thing I could do tactically was to shift Callum Chambers to left back and Hojberg to right back. Defence completely goes to crap and I lose 7-3.

Anyway, I agree with Furball's point about the AI, though this has improved slightly since the versions from a few years ago, imo.

One thing that's always really bugged me as well is that in a game world that centres around a fictitious version of yourself embarking on a managerial career the game world does not give a solitary **** whenever you resign from a job.

I'd never really thought about it to be honest, but I guess most people probably care more about how the game behaves when you actually are managing a team than what happens when you aren't, so it's understandable why the developers haven't paid much attention to that sort of the thing at the expense of other features.
