Aussie co-commentator on radio (Nannes?) says "Sorry to go on about it ...." and then makes the point that the 3rd umpire mistake meant that NZ openers are now starting in dusk, rather than in afternoon light as was likely.Warne: "...the Australians having the rub of the green because of Nigel Llong's incompetence..."
....
They've done away with them? Ridiculous.Last time you saw a runner?
Nannes is an honorary kiwi. Wag.Aussie co-commentator on radio (Nannes?) says "Sorry to go on about it ...." and then makes the point that the 3rd umpire mistake meant that NZ openers are now starting in dusk, rather than in afternoon light as was likely.
The thinking behind it is that if a bowler breaks down you can't replace him, so why should batsmen be different. Evens out the balance between bat and ball a bit, but also makes cricket a less fair game overall imo, so yeah not a fan of it.They've done away with them? Ridiculous.
What was said? Was that Starc or one of the Kiwi players on the stump mic?
Were any of the decisions as poor as the Lyon one?I recall previous series where decisions that fell the Aust way got defended or equivocated by the ex-player co-commentators.
"****ing ****."What was said?
Historically would've been for real time decisions though where you can always give the umpire the out that "he only had a split second to make his decision". Same defence can't be made for Llong. Were any of the decisions as poor as the Lyon one?
