Are any of us seriously surprised with McCullum's dismissal? Certainly not if you smirked & cheered over his first ball 6 at headingley.

this is probably knee jerk but if mccullum is going to bat like his UAE ton and not his 300 or the two tons earlier that summer then he should open or bat #6

nice shot santa

Santner joining Chris Woakes in the all-rounder not quite good enough for test cricket but cover drove their first ball for four club.

I actually hope we get out soon before it flattens out. **** me first time Baz wins the toss in ages and it might've been the wrong decision.

People who would rather the players divided head first into concrete walls than have the boundaries a few meters shorter are the absolute worst.
so I browsed the thread looking for an explanation of this point but found none

why was having the players dive head first into concrete even an option?

If he comes off and gets us to 150 plus then the decision to play him was well worth it.
Lol, I read that us 'him' scoring 150 for a sec... I was thinking quite an understatement

Turth be told, I'll be gutted if we get less than 200, even from here.

I tend to subconsciously think of McCullum and whatever all-rounder at 5 and 6 as a weakness. Too hit and miss.

The notion that batting is harder in the 3rd session, which by all reports it should be, is enough to weird out any established toss tactics. I'd not want to make the call tbh
