Black Caps happy with pink ball, not bowler Trent Boult's back | Stuff.co.nz
Boult's only bowling during the practice match was off a few steps before play on day two. He is being carefully managed due to what his coach described as a "disc irritation" similar to what Tim Southee suffered – and overcame – after the first test in Brisbane.
Asked whether he had major concerns about the availability of the left-arm paceman or instead was confident he would play, Hesson replied: "I wouldn't say I'm either, really."
"We've got a plan. He's going to have to bowl flat-out two days out from the test. If he's able to get through that then he'll be considered for the test," he said.
