Black Caps happy with pink ball, not bowler Trent Boult's back | Stuff.co.nz

Boult's only bowling during the practice match was off a few steps before play on day two. He is being carefully managed due to what his coach described as a "disc irritation" similar to what Tim Southee suffered – and overcame – after the first test in Brisbane.

Asked whether he had major concerns about the availability of the left-arm paceman or instead was confident he would play, Hesson replied: "I wouldn't say I'm either, really."

"We've got a plan. He's going to have to bowl flat-out two days out from the test. If he's able to get through that then he'll be considered for the test," he said.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Reckon if Boult misses out, will they bring in McClenaghan to be a straight new-ball-left-arm swap or trust Wagner with the role despite his ball destroying reputation? Or will they have Southee-Bracewell/Henry open with Wags as 3rd/4th seamer? I mean after Wags 5fer in the warm up there's no way he can be left out imo. Edit: I guess Mitch can't be in consideration considering he didn't even bowl in the warm up

I would almost say the Boult being ruled out for Adelaide would be a blessing in disguise, with the way he's been bowling (whether due to niggles and fitness or not). But then again, him clicking and getting the ball to swing still seams like our best chance to nab Warner early which would set the tone for the whole Australian innings. Can Wagner do that?

Will Somerville can make NSW sides once or twice a year and is a good friend of Sam Wells. That's good enough for NZC to get on the Brownlie/Ronchi phone again.

It was only Cribbage getting Hesson geoblocked out of the vault and incapable of seeing Wagner's wickets in recent weeks that denied him a run in Perth, itbt.

Proud of this accomplishment, tbh. Watching Wagner bowl in Test cricket is never aesthetically pleasing even when he's bowling well.

Lots of catches in front of the wicket in the pink ball cricket from Adelaide. You know who else likes catches in front of the wicket? Wagner. Bet365 is your friend Cribbage, just like yesterday.

Oh yeah? Is there a way to watch the video scorecards from previous seasons?
There's not even a way to watch video scorecards from current seasons; the Shield is live streamed with the odd highlights package like the one you posted above.

He bowled some good deliveries when he had some rough to work with so I like that NSW have kept him in the frame but any serious suggestions that he'd be better than Craig would be foolish.

Hopefully this promotional venture from Mahela Jayawardene and Weerasundara's dad is about to entice a plethora of teenage Indian and Sri Lankan spinners to come and study here and seek some minor cricketing celebrity with Central Districts, in that case.
