How does a bat having thicker edge change the ball's trajectory ffs?

Sure it might go further but I find it hard to believe that it causes it to go flatter!
No tubby's actually spot on here

Older, thinner edge bats would often lead to balls going straight up in the air even if the ball only hits right next to the edge, but still on the face of the bat, whereas massive thick edges can make this part of the bat face (even right next to the edge) behave like the middle of a bat, hence the ball going forward rather than the bat twisting a little on the ball going straight up.

If we're talking genuine edges though, where the ball hits actually right on the edge then a thicker edge isn't going to make the ball go forward rather than up, however in that case with older bats the ball genuinely knicking the top edge would more likely lead to it flying over the keepers head or something similar.

Such a pleasure to watch test cricket DRS in action with all the options available. Raises the standard of the cricket. Shame we don't have consistency all across the world.

Looking positive for Australia here. Ordinary bowling on what looks to be a true batting deck. I swear Craig bowls 2-3 rank balls an over every time I see him, yet seem to miss the spells he's taken wickets. Always been too inconsistent for test level for mine.

I'm definitely on Team Corey, but Chigs is much the better option to have as the 5th bowler in these conditions.
