Craig bowled 3 half trackers out of 4 balls . . .

cut out the weird fields and just get them out caught in the slips, bowled or LBW.
When the bowling is looking as toothless as it is the captain often tends to feel like they need to do something funky

Not with Southee and Boult though

Surely be as much chance of success by just building pressure #hasworkedfor100years

They were all over Burns. Fair play to Warner but Burns didn't look like he had an idea when the ball was in the right areas. Boult was a bit all over the shop. Get that man on strike and just get him out the traditional way.

Such a promising start, but it's really slipping away from us now. Need to find some magic from somewhere.

Burns looks ok but would like to se him get front foot further across when playing outside off

Wonder if Khawaja has actually learned to take more than a half step forward in this incantation of his test career?

But the funky field changes were for Warner weren't they?

And imo Burns looks ****. I don't reckon he'll be in the side for long.

Like that

Front foot went straight down pitch so ends up playing away from body

Warner was on 3 off 18 balls at one stage, so he's hit 25 from his last 27.

He defends so many deliveries behind square on the offside. Really not a good sign on Australian pitches.

Does look better when he tries to hit the damn thing, though. Was the case last summer too.
