Asif is only 32. He's younger than Jimmy Anderson. I see no reason why he can't make a successful comeback on the three away tours next year. He never relied on pace, and his body hasn't gone under the rigours of Test/FC cricket over the last 5 years. If Pak want to succeed outside UAE next year, they need Asif. He would most likely be nullified in the UAE, but on pitches that offer even a hint of assistance to seam bowling, he will exploit it. He can retire after those 3 series.
All of them should not be allowed back into the UK ever. They are criminals and shouldn't be allowed in. Simple as.

As I said before, under current laws, Asif and Amit would be eligible for visa. Only person who would have issues would be Butt because he was deported in exchange for earlier jail release.

Don't care. All should be banned for life anyway. Hope they get abuse every time they leave the hotel and set foot on the park.

But they're not. So why keep resorting to fantasy arguments? Would you also like to speculate how much the Easter bunny would average in Perth?

The bottom line is they are eligible for selection. Your or mine's personal opinion on the matter is irrevelent. Personally, I have no problems with them continuing their careers now that they have served their punishments. People need to keep things in perspective. Cricket is a sport. A sport is watched by crowds for entertainment. I was entertained while watching Amir, and in particular, Asif bowl. And I would hope to be continued to do so next year.

Stop being a dick. They should NEVER be allowed to play again. If they do I hope they get abuse from the crowd. I hope they never darken cricket again as they are cheats who are scum to the game. I am allowed to think what I like and won't change my opinion because a **** like you wants to lick their asses and kiss their feet despite them being a disgrace to cricket.

Yes my friend you are absolutely right, Asif in attack would certain help PAK be more successful out of UAE. Although you could argue Wahab/Aamir/Shah would be enough & guys like Sohail Khan, Rahat Ali, Imran Khan or if they want to risk Irfan in a test could provide adequate support to the trio.

All I'm saying though is judging by how PAK fans have reacted to Aamir/Asif possible returning, there is clearly more remorse of goodwill towards Aamir coming back than Asif.

Pretty much all my hardcore cricket friends here in UK are PAK supporters, you look at other PAK fans cricket chat forums like http://www.pakpassion.net/ that's what they are essentially saying.

Aamir was a gullible youth who made a grave mistake, he did his time etc should come back. This article best describes how PAK fans look at Asif - Ahmer Naqvi: The Mohammad Asif enigma | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo

as much a dick as asif is, i enjoyed watching him more than any other pakistan bowler since wasim akram
I loved him, that was why it was so bad what he did. He betrayed the sport I love and I can't forgive him for that.

Before anyone says anything I would feel same if they were English. Game means more than nationality.
