Maybe using Daniel Vettori as a coach isn't such a bad idea, I don't think he was a natural test spinner, but knew the game and knew his own game and became a high quality spinner. We need someone who can get the best out of what is pretty limited natural talent. Both Rashid and Ali currently look like fifth bowlers in English conditions, when they can offer a couple of short spells, get decent revolutions on the ball so get the odd wicket, but not put together a long spell for few runs.

It didn't used to be the case. Like I said, we're not getting the conversation between the umpires when decisions are being reviewed so there may be other stuff that's only being provided for the umpires, like enhanced stump mic.

You know, you've just made me feel a lot more positive about this. The team management never ever considered Azhar to open but THIS might make them do that because they have no choice now which might be the best outcome to come out of this. Malik won't last very long in the test side especially when Pakistan start touring next year, so Haris and Fawad should both find their way in with Azhar opening
