But there is a difference between 2012 and this though. There was incredible bounce and turn in that series, even Panesar and Swann skittled out Pakistan for 99 in one of the games.
I have not seen that kind of turn and bounce in UAE since that series, and certainly not in this series based on what i have seen today.
So I wont expect games where Pakistan set England 140 and win by 50 runs.

Malik and Hafeez have batted like bosses all day, Yasir is out, Cook and Root are more than capable of batting for days on this pitch, just need a few others to hang around and they will be fine.

Exactly, not as if Pakistan are known for their gun fielding either, I'd be shocked not to see some LOL fielding and catching from them this series.

Well the day went in favour of Pakistan although they didn't bat as well as the score suggests, and England didn't bowl as poorly as the score suggests.
England's fielding let them down though.

There go Cricinfo with the "UAE is Pakistan's fortress" stuff again. One of the most dumb myths in cricket right now. They've been impressive in UAE no doubt, but I have no idea how their record there is looked upon by people as this incredible dominant one. SL, NZ and SA all managed to draw series there recently. Basically the only 2 teams they've dominated at "home" are Aus and England. Virtually every other team has gone there and done decently. In fact, Pak have only won 3 series out of 8 in UAE overall ffs.

Yeah the UAE being Pakistan's fortress might be a bit overstated but Pakistan haven't lost a home series since 2007.
That's a better record than Australia, India, England and South Africa.

They've all lost one series each. Big deal. They've also won plenty more. And you know the only reason Pak don't lose more home series is because they have so many 2-match ones.
