not been a great advert for test cricket thus far
just plain administration incompetence.. It's incredible that there's so much talk about the 'money' in cricket nowadays, no one actually bothers to rectify these things which would make the product you're selling much stronger and better

Funny that Misbah said Imran comes in for Yasir which would suggest that he was nor originally part of the team, despite having a 5 wkt haul in the last test match Pakistan won in Sri Lanka

I only just realised England picked Bairstow over Taylor. It would have been harsh to drop Bairstow after he had a decent summer but I think it probably would have been the right call; Taylor's much more suited to these conditions in general IMO.

My simulation-runner gut keeps telling me they should have left out Wood for Taylor instead but my head keeps telling me that sort of balance wouldn't work in reality.

This is going to be a long hard day but, at the end of the day, we've got the Ashes so who really gives a flying ****?

The selectors don't talk about it but because of all the prejudice, but over here we have a ginga quota these days

 Lets at least wait until we've lost the series before trotting out these lines Fred (but once we have I'll be right with ya mate!!)

Stokes needs to keep it tight here. It's funny given we got whitewashed here four years ago, but I reckon the 2012 side was much more suited for this type of series. Not just in terms of individual players, but also in the way they played. Much more patient/dry cricket.
