They'll probably wait for the number of signatures on the petition to reach 44 before deciding their future.I know they wont be looking to play for Namibia now but you dont know what circumstances lead to.
Yeah those draw points and extra bonus points might have been handy. Crazy decision to give Yorkshire a sniff of victory. That's pretty much the English season wrapped up then Only 1 place left to fight for in the Championship (and I can't see Hampshire getting out of it).
Yeah. Fair enough if they pull it off and win it then he is a hero, but a chase of 300 with arguably the best batting line-up in the country vs one of the worst bowling attacks in the county and it doesn't really look like a great deal of thought had gone into it. But I guess on the contrary he didn't really have too much time to set Yorkshire anything higher and still have enough time for 10 wickets.Yeah those draw points and extra bonus points might have been handy. Remember guys Shane Warne was the captain of Hampshire in the past. Need to be prepareed to lose to win, etc.Yeah. Broad and Cook missed the one day stuff, the others played in it.Seems to be no consistency re: England players turning out for counties btw. If Broad and Cook are playing, why not Taylor, Hales and Root?
Yes Hampshire would have liked a few more runs but Gale was in the strong negotiating position as Hampshire were much more in need of big points than Yorkshire.Anyway Hampshire are giving it a go after looking dead and buried at 89-5. To now be 276-8 and know that a win will keep them up if Yorkshire beat Sussex (which we all expect) is some effort.
As for last week, I thought Hampshire could easily have taken a few overs out by getting 20-25 in 2 overs and giving Yorkshire a bit of a stiffer target and still have it seen as a decent chance for both.
