*Official* English Football Season 2015-16

Niall

International Coach
A side who is playing a lad who had been a reserve for years in goal as their world class keeper rots in the crowd, a make shift centre half in Blind, a past it Rooneey up front and whose cavalry is Ashley Young and hoof ball to Fellani.

Some quality players in this team, but plenty of flaws in key positions.

When do people start questioning LVG?

LVG has been questionable for ages but he's here for the season.

No way Rooney is getting ahead of Gomis in this Swansea team. Amazing what a player can do with the ability to move.

GIMH

Norwood's on Fire
His control was awesome when he took the ball through near the end but I still didn't actually think he would score

Whether or not he's past it, he needs dropping for now.

Tha opportunity at the end. He took an age to get a shot away and then didn't. Wasn't prepared to take a left foot shot. That winning goal past Romero was laughable keeping.

Agreed, LVG will get the season, but it will be much harder for them to get top 4 this time around. Yep Liverpool were LOL bad yesterday, but I like most of their signings and definitely look a better outfit than last season.

Gomis is absolute gun isn't he?

Also Monk schooled LVG today, very impressed although wouldn't be confident of Swansea starting next season with him.

Dropped for who? Hernandez and the kid, Wilson iirc, are our only 9s.

Spot on.

United goals in last 10 matches: 0002101101.

No invention in attack and a keeper who melted the first time he had to do something. Poor.

Makes our **** game a bit easier to take. The premier league gets crazier by the year.

Dare someone to try to tell me Rooney isn't ****e after this.
Whaddya mean...his leave let Mata score...

Yeah had a couple of decent chances in the first half and did the exact same thing. Ever since the Spurs game his strategy seems to be to linger as long as possible and hope the defender gets back and scores it for him.

van Gaal's a fraud.
This is definitely true.

Should still get top 4 though. De Gea would probably have saved both Swansea goals and anyone with would have saved the second, so without wanting to play down how ****e we were today, with our regular 'keeper we'd still probably get 3 points from a tough away game. I definitely still think we're better than Liverpool. Not that that's really an acceptable target given how much more we've spent than teams that are comfortably better than us, but at this point it's all we've got to aim for.

A fraud.

His teams have always been all fur coat and no knickers, even back to his Ajax days. Possession for possession's sake.

I wouldn't downplay his achievements, especially not the Ajax ones, but a lot of his reputation nowadays comes from himself talking about how good he is, which definitely makes him a bit of a fraud.

He's not a fraud, he's not as good as he used to be, but he can make United a title winning team IF he gets all control. Which I just don't think he is worth (that much trouble) in the long run. IMO Rooney is a noose around his neck and he'd have wanted a different forward if he could.

Even at the best of times you have to remember that United had already fallen from grace when he arrived and IMO the EPL is one of the toughest leagues to get used to for a foreign manager.

Being a ****ing weirdo doesn't help either.

Outside of Jose or Pep, I don't think there is a manager in world football who could have come to United and benched Rooney without a huge backlash. Even if he did it now it'd be news for months. He'd effectively have to sell him. I don't think the club has given him that kind of power.
