Apparently it was Payet's fault for shielding the ball with some neat skill while being plowed into from behind.

Yeah, this is the "I had to swerve my vehicle to avoid being hit by the oncoming traffic", "but you were driving on the wrong side of the road..." type defence. Embarassing punditry really.

Wasn't very familiar with LVG before he took over but that interaction with Giggs the other night really bothered me. Hernandez is a better footballer than he is showing and obviously his confidence is low knowing the coach doesn't rate him. That along with his dissmissive attitude to some of the goals and barely bothering to shake hands with other managers just screams major wanker to me.

Yeah loved it. Best bit was the resulting outpouring of sanctimonious moaning. 'Fellow professional' got a healthy outing in a failed effort to make it seem like a despicable act of evil.
