Hmm, disagree that temperament isn't more important at 3. Not sure what exactly you mean by temperament, but Pujara's patience and grit and ability to consume plenty of deliveries in tough conditions even when he's not batting fluently makes him a very good choice for 3 imo. Especially with Kohli coming in at 4,who's obviously shown weaknesses against good out swing.Yeah I strongly agree with both of those points, but I don't really think discipline is necessarily more important at #3 than #5, particularly if the openers are going to be Vijay and Rahul. The fact that Pujara's such a good player of spin is actually a point in favour of him batting at five, which I why I did indeed address it in my post.
