does morne van wyk open in first class cricket?
He opens for his franchise in LO stuff.

Can't remember about first-class, I'll check.

EDIT:

He normally bats six in the FC stuff, the openers for his franchise are his brother, Divan, and Imraan Khan.

Pick the Saffers score? 315?

If there's still bounce in the pitch when the Kiwis bat, suspect that Steyn and Abbott / Rabada will nick out a couple in the first 10 overs.

this is a bouncy pitch but it's not quick. if it was the bouncers would be more effective and the pulls to good length balls from van wyk would be very risky. the medium pacer bowling full and not getting smoked says a bit.

pitch it the **** up.

Ouch we got thrased in the second ODI, we will need 320+ today.

ETA I digress, 300+ might be defendable, I think the ball will be very slippery though.

Highest score to win batting second is 271

Masterclass from AB. Don't mind if we lose to an innings like this. But would have been gutted if van Wyk had gone on to slap a few more 6s and turn his stay into the match-winning innings.

315 still on ...

And I posted it when he wasn't even halfway his 58.

Is De Kock injured or dropped?
The kock is thriving against minnows at this stage, will probably be back in the next series, however it will be too soon.

Van Wyk also under pressure to give a solid stand, so might have been strategy for him to stay there and anchor the innings.
