Match/series winning wicket?
Hard to say. Maybe the start was too slow and this AB-special brought things into the balance? I'm not so sure this is a 300+ par pitch. If AB would have stayed, it would have been all over for NZ, so in that sense it decisive for the series.

Like I said the highest score batting second is 271, but if NZ gets an early start, this proteas team will start doubting themselves IMO, and the slippery ball will get even more slippery, Wiese and Tahir could travel.

Hopefully we get to 270.

We would really appreciate one of those 20 runs innings from JPD now.

From here, 270 should be made.

IndianSupporter: "Can't believe how destructive this South African side is. A lot of the other sides are either in a transitional phase or just not good enough right now. Should be a great time for SA to claim the No.1 ODI spot for good."

This guy on cricinfo must surely be trolling.

The kock is thriving against minnows at this stage, will probably be back in the next series, however it will be too soon.

Van Wyk also under pressure to give a solid stand, so might have been strategy for him to stay there and anchor the innings.
Playing for himself I reckon.

Should never be picked again after that.

36 year old journeyman, imagine this guy in the champions trophy and the world cup?

Would be an absolute disaster.

I feel so demotivated about this team, I cant imagine anything worse, we dont stand a chance to make even the semi finals in the CT, van Wyk, might also have been an improvement on what QdK dished up at the world cup.

You'd expect them to beat Pakistan, Lanka and Bangladesh in England. unless QDK, Rabada and Miller don't step up in two years, they are underdogs against the rest.

Decent score that despite the Van Wyk knock, nice effort from Behardien, slowly showing glimpses that he may be a proper batsman.

If only he had been picked ahead of Roussow in the world cup semi final.:-O

maybe one big win, but you would expect Amla and the rest will fail again. we are only competitive these days if Amla and De Villiers makes big scores, Behardien brings a little respectability to the party but little of the other do, Except maybe Tahir or Morkel, Abott should be playing about every game, and two spinners at Centurion? Domingo has completely lost the plot and simply does not have what it takes to get these guys up to standard.

Abbott should be playing every game? The guy is trash.Bashed some minnows in the World Cup and suddenly he should be leading South Africa's ODI bowling attack. He was rubbish before that World Cup,had a few good games and was rubbish in Bangladesh and in the t20s.

He was rubbish before the world cup as well...

It is tough, we are playing Morkel and Tahir who we rely on and rotating below average ODI bowlers around them non stop who we are basically selecting on sentiment over form.

You just know that when we lose this series that guys like Parnell will come back for the next round of humiliation.

Gosh this must be the low point of our cricket for me, our fielding is absolutely humiliating.

How can Domingo keep his job for so long is beyond me, and 2 more years of this low intensity cricket.

Have they changed fielding coaches or something? Rabada is young I suppose, but Miller normally pretty gun in the field.
