Gabriel and Cech were the obvious bright spots but we've really not looked good so far this season. Surely we won't go a whole summer window without signing a outfield player, but I still don't know who's a realistic buy?

Yeah, not a bad result for either side, but definitely better for Liverpool than Arsenal. Arsenal can't keep dropping points at home to the midtable sides like this if they're to challenge for the title.
Whoever thinks we're challenging for the title without some new signings needs to manage their expectations.

Liverpool might well have 3 clean sheets, but they've conceded legitimate goals in two of them - and 50% of the goals they've scored were offside. To be fair most of their fans on the TalkSport phone-ins are not overly optimistic based on what they've seen so far.

Man Utd's transfer policy has reached the 'desperate singleton on Valentines Day' stage where they're just desperately throwing themselves at anyone who'll look at them.

Yeah but were only throwing ourselves at hot chicks hoping one will come home with us and not be as crap in the sack as the South American beauty we've just dumped.

I loved the range of stuff Malmo's players and staff had to say about the Celtic team after the first game. There's no Swedish translation for "bunch of ****ing neds".

Last I looked LVG was selling the we don't need strikers line. Badly.

What did Chris Sutton do tonight?
Polluted the airwaves with some of the most bitter, biased commentary I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. It was tremendous. :D

On a serious note, should a pundit really be referring to an official as an "idiot" on live TV?

I really hate crap like this tbh, not least because such folk are usually the first ones to start crowing about how it's important to "respect" the ref.

United now trying to get Bale again. It must be great and all that these are the kinds of players your club can actually buy; but it's coming off more than a tad desperate at this point.

We can't buy them, we just seem daft enough to be linked to them.

Next week were swapping Messi for McNair
