Lyon's ball was a beauty. Was a lot quicker and flatter than most of his deliveries, and gripped a lot more than it had. Cook would have been more worried about protecting his pads than thinking that ball would get past his outside edge. Gripped quick too.

Think Hazelwood struggled without getting any support from his other bowlers too. Especially a young bowler, when no-one else is bowling in a partnership, you can get a bit selfish yourself.

Siddle been great here.

umps also stand further back than they once did because they fear injury, esp in white ball cricket. harder to see front line with parallax
A lot of umpires stand further back so that they don't have to change their eye direction as much to go down to the line and then back to the batsman.

So what will Warne say after this spell?
Warne did make a point to say that Siddle will bowl well, but he figured Sid wasn't part of the plans while Cummins is. I don't blame Warne on this one really, Warne is under the impression that the coach and captain wanted Cummins so he thought it was pointless going to the big hearted Victorian now after the series had been lost.

Yeah, the 2 dimensional view was deceiving with the angled bat; before he started searching for the ball.

Also the illusion of the bat moving sideways rather than forwards/backwards.
