Yup! Just another test that simply does not have it. Unless theses two put up 200 together of course......This series is stupid.
It really isn't.Bat is close to the pad at the exact same time as the ball passes the bat and you see the noise on snicko.
Stokes current a bit ahead imo but both very promising players.Marsh vs Stokes is fun to see. You get the feeling they'll have some decent battles over the years in various formats.
Matches his FC record thus far tbf. Still reckon his ceiling as a batsman is higher, though.Marsh has impressed me a lot more as a bowler than as a bat. He looks below the required standard for a test match top 6 bat but is a really useful operator with the ball. No issue with the Root decision, can only have been a faint nick.
It was clearly out but they'd never have given it without snicko especially the way the front on looked.Marsh has impressed me a lot more as a bowler than as a bat. He looks below the required standard for a test match top 6 bat but is a really useful operator with the ball. No issue with the Root decision, can only have been a faint nick.
Yeah, although Cook's Ponting-at-Edgbaston type decision bowling first on this track hasn't helped things along, even if the Australian approach at the start was completely different to Trescothick's and Strauss' a decade ago.well now we're ****ed
Yeah clearly in Tests, not sure about One Day Cricket.Stokes current a bit ahead imo but both very promising players.
Not surprised about this at all, in England. You should have seen Mitch Marsh's debut series against Pakistan. Looked relatively composed with the bat, but pretty toothless with the ball.. I guess that's the life of a young, talented but frustrating all rounder.Marsh has impressed me a lot more as a bowler than as a bat. He looks below the required standard for a test match top 6 bat but is a really useful operator with the ball..
