*Official* Fifth Test at the Oval

Stokes is becoming a good swing bowler. Needs to spend some time with Jimmy working on his variations but he is easily the biggest hooper in the team.

Doesn't look like much off the pitch now so in hindsight not a good decision to bowl but you can understand why Cook did it.

How does the umpire not call that on the spot

They obviously don't even try and call no balls these days unless there's a wicket

stupid

Lol, In other words Aleem Dar isn't even bothering to check the no-ball these days.

What a horrible looking stroke that was from Smith. Lucky lucky boy.

****ing umps not calling No Balls is just ****. Grow a pair and call em. It's not fair on the bowler if he's been over stepping and you don't call em so he can readjust.

goddammit i wanted vogels bread to kick on. i love old people scoring runs and i like making lame vogels bread jokes only people in one country will get before they keep scrolling.

good to see some fight from aussie but when warner and smith are leading the charge it's not as convincing as you'd hope because we know those two are already going to be the best by a distance in the post-ashes side.

honestly just deposit another million bucks in rogers' bank account. the big three takeover for tv revenue or whatever the **** that money law they passed has to count for something. pass a law saying all tv revenue goes to chris rogers if he agrees to play for two more years.

This is pretty much what I thought might happen in the fourth test in an attack without Anderson. Broad doesn't click with the new ball and then it's playing catch up the whole time.

Would have been a very very different series if not for that 9.3 overs
I dunno, I was really surprised with how Finn stepped up on his return and then did it again in the fourth test. Obviously it's a better attack with Anderson, Broad and Finn, but it wasn't England of the last couple of years where you really wondered where they would get the wickets from if Anderson didn't fire and the batsmen refused to give it away.

Basically, a good toss to lose.

Ok so this bugs me... why do people say nicking off to a short wide delivery like that is a bad shot? The ball deserved to be hit for 4, so why shouldn't the batsman go for it? You can criticize the execution, maybe but it's there to be smashed.
