This is pretty much what I thought might happen in the fourth test in an attack without Anderson. Broad doesn't click with the new ball and then it's playing catch up the whole time.

Would have been a very very different series if not for that 9.3 overs

Or if three batsmen hadn't gotten out in the 30s on the second day of the series
