Whatever it takes!!!
we still get Nohit at 3 then.... I think Binny might replace Bhajji though..
Yet it got a lot of flak on here before they lost.because it's not something they are used to and when you lose, everything you did gets flak
Rohit was always going to be @ 3 because Kohli confirmed it during the press conference after the defeat, at least not calling another specialist opener potentially gives the chance to Pujara open.we still get Nohit at 3 then.... I think Binny might replace Bhajji though..
Intent has infected the membrane of young cricketers. They confuse intent with playing attacking shots, like Ponting has always said you can show intent by leaving the ball well.yeah exactly. I wasn't even angry that Pujara had been dropped, as him getting a break probably wasn't the worst thing, but him getting dropped for Rohit was baffling. Even though Pujara had a less than stellar overseas summer he was still far better than Rohit despite batting higher.
The only justification I'm hearing from Kohli is that Rohit is more aggressive and attacking and that he shows #intent. **** that word with a cactus. Pick the clearly better batsman, not just the one whose approach you're more in tune with. Such bull**** reasoning.
Vijay is back for the next test isn't he?Rohit was always going to be @ 3 because Kohli confirmed it during the press conference after the defeat, at least not calling another specialist opener potentially gives the chance to Pujara open.
yeah, ideally he and Pujara and Binny/Bhuvi should replace Dhawan, Nohit and Bhajji.. But lets see...
Yeah can't be dropping Dhawan on the back of one miserable knock especially when he made 134 in the first innings and 173 in the last test he played.
Can someone explain to me why this team won't work for the 2nd test? Having Mishra at 8,and Bhuvi at 9 is good imo. We don't need Binny. If the new ball swings much; we have Bhuvi to exploit that.My team for the 2nd test:
Dhawan
Vijay
Pujara
Kohli
Rahane
Saha
Ashwin
Mishra
Bhuvneshwar
Umesh
Ishant
Please Virat, please drop Rohit for this one test. This is a very important match. Dropping him for this doesn't mean you're ending his career. Just drop him for this one FFS.
one realises how important Chandimal's inning wasWhen you realize SL have 4 specialist batsmen with lower averages than Rohit...
I just hope it's not a once-in-a-lifetime type knock for him because SL will struggle to post 300 consistently post-Sanga otherwise..one realises how important Chandimal's inning was
Isn't Bhuvi injured? Can someone explain to me why this team won't work for the 2nd test? Having Mishra at 8,and Bhuvi at 9 is good imo. We don't need Binny. If the new ball swings much; we have Bhuvi to exploit that.
No they just didn't pick himIsn't Bhuvi injured?
