My team for the 2nd test:

Dhawan
Vijay
Pujara
Kohli
Rahane
Saha
Ashwin
Mishra
Bhuvneshwar
Umesh
Ishant

Please Virat, please drop Rohit for this one test. This is a very important match. Dropping him for this doesn't mean you're ending his career. Just drop him for this one FFS.

If Bhuvi is fit I'd definitely play him ahead of Harbhajan. Likewise Umesh over Aaron.

I don't think you can drop Rohit after one bad test at 3 though. And I'm a massive Pujara fanboy.

Bull****. If the Indian players are happy to take the BCCI's money and play under the BCCI's playing conditions then they are culpable.

If they don't like the BCCI's stance on DRS they should refuse to play.
Ok, as critical as I am of BCCI for blocking DRS, this is absolute bollocks. Whether they agree/disagree with DRS, why should they kick their livelihood because of it? It is not their job to decide or try to influence policy issues for BCCI.

India lost because they didn't bat very well. Now I know this statement is probably hard to digest for fans, media, and last but not the least the players themselves, but that is what happened in the 1st test. All this backlash in the media about 5 bowlers is bull****. They took 20 wickets which for India is a tremendous achievement. They bowled out Sri Lanka in their home ground on day 1 for a paltry score, and even in the second innings they knocked over the top order cheaply. How many times have we seen this from Indian bowlers in recent past?

The one time they actually do a decent job, they are getting brickbats? Get over your batsmen worshipping and face some facts
Rohit is crap - needs to go
Kohli is not as good a player of spin as he should be
Rahul is 2 tests old, give him time
Pujara averages 75 in Asisa and India picked Rohit over him.

He's had 2 bad tests at 3 and many bad tests at 6. Overall, Pujara's record and form both are better. I'm not advocating ending Rohit's test career; he can surely make a comeback and I hope he does. But at the moment there's no reason to play Rohit ahead of Pujara other than 'talent' which Pujara possesses in good amount too.

Ya, and for those who're saying our 5th bowler didn't do well :

Imagine if Harbhajan took many wickets and Mishra took none in the 1st test. These people would've said the same. "What's the point of picking the 5th bowler (in that imaginary case, Mishra) if he isn't taking many wickets?"

Lol.

This is his 3rd test @ 3, and that doesn't even change the fact that he simply does not deserve to play over Pujara period. Rohit's averaged 21 across 19 innings overseas, 19 innings and your highest score is 72? If he was actually scoring tons of runs then yeah sure play him over Pujara, but picking him over a proven player (especially against spin) who despite being out of form has done better than you is just ridiculous.

yeah exactly. I wasn't even angry that Pujara had been dropped, as him getting a break probably wasn't the worst thing, but him getting dropped for Rohit was baffling. Even though Pujara had a less than stellar overseas summer he was still far better than Rohit despite batting higher.

The only justification I'm hearing from Kohli is that Rohit is more aggressive and attacking and that he shows #intent. **** that word with a cactus. Pick the clearly better batsman, not just the one whose approach you're more in tune with. Such bull**** reasoning.

And stop lying OS. We know you're a closet Rohit fan and in your heart you believe he is talented and promising and a Tendulkar in the making.
Oh absolutely I'm unashamedly a Rohit fan. Not even joking. I think he has massive potential and has been shafted when it comes to the test team in the past (picking Yuvraj and Raina over him was nonsense), but what's happening now is just flat out wrong and I hope they realise it.

Haha did Kohli say that he was picking Rohit for intent? Pick Raina then, he has more positive intent. Lol.

Binny has been added to the squad.
Well that's interesting, Dhawan and Vijay both injured and Rahul still very new and you add a lower middle order all rounder to the squad? I guess they might get Pujara to open if both Dhawan and Vijay don't recover in time which wouldn't be the worst thing actually.
