I think it smacks of doing something right in theory without actually considering the players you have. India have good middle order players like Pujara who could add so much more value to the side than yet more off spin. Harbhajan out Pujara in for my quidDon't agree with Kohli's five bowler theory at all, especially if your going to have Saha and Rohit in your top 6.He needs to do the basics first, like actually winning a test match, before fiddling around with stuff like that.
Fair point but to me that's just not playing to India's strengths, which should be the middle order. The thing with playing 5 bowlers is that one of them is going to end up under-utilised, so you're basically covering your bases to see which one might do well.
I legitimately think they'd be better off playing Binny than Harbhajan on the off chance that the pitch/conditions suit his type of bowling.
He averages 20 against teams who aren't Bangladesh. You can drop him whenever you ****ing like.I don't believe Thiramane is a very good player but you can't drop the guy who contributed to the fight back
You guys have to realize that SL have **** for replacements, these chumps are all they have.He averages 20 against teams who aren't Bangladesh. You can drop him whenever you ****ing like.
Yeah that was me, he goes pretty well in the one dayers playing his shots and actually using some of his talent but he just can't construct a proper test innings at the moment, either gets bogged down or throws it away needlesslyi think someone put it best last summer when i asked why he wasn't at least trying to score more than 20 runs per 100 balls (that was actually one of his knocks). apparently his shot options were all too high risk so he put them away.
so he can't score runs because he'll get out and then he'll get out anyway.
That's only the case when India actually bowls a team out for a mid to low score. And if that happens that's actually what India desperately need, 20 wickets is a must. It is debatable as to which bowlers you pick, but the fact that you need 5 to share the workload is non-negotiable as far as I'm concerned, unless you are playing in India in which case I'm okay with 4 bowlers. The thing with playing 5 bowlers is that one of them is going to end up under-utilised, so you're basically covering your bases to see which one might do well. .
hahahahahahhahahahahahahhaBull****. If the Indian players are happy to take the BCCI's money and play under the BCCI's playing conditions then they are culpable.
If they don't like the BCCI's stance on DRS they should refuse to play.
Good cop bad cop routine (Y)hahahahahahhahahahahahahha
Yes!honest to bergkamp, sri lanka deserved that on their catching alone. it was out of this world.
edit: fat blokes succeeding in sport is the best thing in the world.
2nd only to Headingley 81 in terms of team deficit with 5 wickets down in the 2nd innings going onto win.Holy ** SL! and Holy *** India
