Chris Rogers and Don Bradman are the only two Australian batsman to have scored 1000+ Ashes runs after the age of 35.

Ben Stokes' bowling figures today

BA Stokes 13 0 55 0

This is supposedly the guy Australia should have been very 'fearful' of before the test.

Did Warne really just say Sidhu was the best player of spin bowling he ever bowled to?

ITSTL
That's interesting, but Sidhu has to be up there. Apart from the obvious names Tendulkar and Lara (2 greatest cricketers Warne has played with or against, according to him), I can't think of one batsman who played Warne better than Sidhu except maybe Azharuddin.

Loved watching Sidhu vs spin as a youngster. He was just nuts. He was coming down the pitch and swinging hard. Seem to recall him falling over from swinging too hard once.

So anyway where would you declare?

Early declaration 500ish and probably have to bat twice. Or go with the 650+ and make England follow on assuming they can't get 450+?

It looks like an incredibly flat wicket so Aus will want to give themselves a lot of time to bowl England out twice.
Would imagine they will have to make us follow on to win this given how flat it is. Bat till half an hour before close tomorrow and then shove us in.

You're not watching are you.

Stokes has been decent. Bell should have held onto that edge. A few boundary balls but thats expected from a young raw quick bowler. Its a flat pitch but he's looked decent and created a chance.

I think Moeen's been good too. England overall have been fairly decent. Rogers and Smith have just been superb tho.

The players especially will know how flat it is. Personally i'd go for 650- 700. If they can't get 20 wickets then fair enough the wicket wins.
