I love how Warnie continually talks about the great food at Lord's, by referring to cheese toasties...

I'm sure that's what the chef saw himself doing in life; gave up a job at a three hat restaurant to get the Breville out.
I love the idea of the chef every four years having to tear up the place looking for said Breville.

Is Cook close to a suspension on over rates?

Just thinking it might be behind using the two spinners together, and even now the perseverance with Root over Ali.

we all love a good debut, but I'd take a great deal of pleasure if Rashid debuted in the 5th test and got smashed for 100 off 10 overs

Yeah the old Ponting manoeuvre. Could be. I thought the seamers were doing as well as could reasonably be expected, and there are four of them, although he might have burnt out Anderson with an 8-over opening spell despite him bowling quite badly.

Anderson switched ends after four or five, didn't he?

They whinge about how "slow" the wicket is. England set a field for the pace of the wicket, with five (!) catchers. And then get criticised for being too defensive by that great captain Ian Healy.

This is a road, we have done ok so far but Australia look set for a monster score. 450 minimum first innings
