Find myself liking Ravi Shastri on sky's The Verdict show. Can be insightful when not talking about India,

The majority of commentators actually are insightful in that context tbh. It's when they're given actual cricket to commentate on that things change.

Also listened to Vaughan presenting 606 'six duck six'. Analysis is mostly things like

"169 runs, a margin bigger than Watson's front pad"
"They [Australia] did look like Dad's Army, they looked old. We're seeing these seagulls outside here in Cardiff, they look like vultures, about to feed on the carcass of Australian cricket."

(actual quotes)

It's essentially what would happen if flibbertyjibber had his own show

The odds of anyone other than Warne and McGrath for the last two spots have to be a million to one. I must say batting Warne at number 10 is a harsh criticism of his batting though, he averaged 22 with the bat in Ashes tests, and almost 25 in series Ponting played in, with 4 50s. Also in 2005 when England had the best bowling of any Ashes series Ponting played in, Warne scored more runs than Katich, Martyn and Gilchrist, who played every test. On the other hand Gillespie's highest score vs England was 31.

2010/11 was played on some right roads, reckon we bowled well but took a lot of poles with the scoreboard. Much harder to bat in 2005 for both teams
