No it's not. Missing a straight delivery when trying to play it across the line is as much about poor shot selection as it is technical.Well every part of that is wrong.

No it's not. Because of a huge technical issue, there's only one shot he can play in that situation. It's literally impossible to play a forward D to that ball once you're in the position Taylor got himself into and ergo he had no shots to choose from besides just trying to get bat on it by playing across his pad.No it's not. It is tough to play straight, even if you want to, when your head and weight is the wrong side of the ball.No it's not. Missing a straight delivery when trying to play it across the line is as much about poor shot selection as it is technical.
Don't... Kane lives to bat & bats to live!Feel for Kane here. Batted long and hard for that 1st innings century which was quite an effort if you consider his lack of build-up, and now has the responsibility once again.
Fleming still had quite a smooth, rhythmic action whereas Wood seems to place enormous pressure on his bodyYeah, my first look at Wood and like him.
Not sure what guys are going on about with his run-up being so short, no different to Damien Fleming late in his career; hardly that short that it's a concern injury-wise.
Yep, this is pretty much exactly what happened.Re. Taylor - I can't watch at the moment, but it sounds like he got out due to closing himself off with his head way outside the line of off stump. This has been a real problem for him recently - I noticed in the first innings as well he was often casting himself with his front foot down the pitch and across to outside off stump before the ball was bowled, and then having to adjust to the line of the delivery. He's been doing that for the last six months or so and I'm not quite sure what has caused it.
Think it's a side effect of him changing to that slightly front on stance - his hands in his pick up will move away from his body (towards gully) when you are more chest on facing the bowler.Re.
