External injury.has anyone clarified why watling can bat?
Thanks. Anyone heard anything on this? I've not seen it mentioned in any articles, but he was off the field for some time yesterday too. Is he fit to bat?Anderson wasn't on the field
SMH if i made an excuse like this people would be going mental!!...NZ have allowed England off the hook far too many times during the course of this test and as a result they are in trouble now. The umpires aren't the ones to blame here. It's NZ themselves.Lol cricket is funny sometimes...NZ couldn't buy a wicket yesterday, but beat the bat endlessly..had LBW's not given that would have clipped etc.. and then England get one clipping leg-stump 2nd over & it's given.
Umpires still have so much influence on LBWs
What are you on about? Not like it was a conscious decision like a big booming cover drive, it's a technical flaw.I'm still in shock over Taylor's shot. Still trying to think what his thought process would have been.
Nah, he played straight across the line to a straight ball. Shot selection was the issue. If he played that straight back & showed the makers name, it wouldn't have been a problem. What are you on about? Not like it was a conscious decision like a big booming cover drive, it's a technical flaw.
Played all across it. Awful shot. What are you on about? Not like it was a conscious decision like a big booming cover drive, it's a technical flaw.
The reason he didn't play straight is because he has a technical issue.Nah, he played straight across the line to a straight ball. Shot selection was the issue. If he played that straight back & showed the makers name, it wouldn't have been a problem.
While "opportunistic" is about the politest word I could use to describe the rest of your posting in this match, this is correct.SMH if i made an excuse like this people would be going mental!!...NZ have allowed England off the hook far too many times during the course of this test and as a result they are in trouble now. Agree NZ should blame themselves... just thought they were unlucky with 1 LBW on day 1, but truth be told, it's probably just my NZ bias because thinking about it, NZ probably had the better of the umpiring decisions over all.SMH if i made an excuse like this people would be going mental!!...NZ have allowed England off the hook far too many times during the course of this test and as a result they are in trouble now. "Technical" suggests he doesn't have the skill to play a straight bat shot to that particular delivery. And if he didn't have the skill to play with a straight bat, I'd agree it was technical.. But he was trying to hit that through square leg, hence why 'shot selection' was the porblem. I would have thought that was obvious tbh.The reason he didn't play straight is because he has a technical issue.
He wasn't technically able to play straight because his front foot went across his body and he was falling to the off side."Technical" suggests he doesn't have the skill to play a straight bat shot to that particular delivery. Agree, but I put that down to the fact he got himself into the position to play across it & hence you're right, he fell across it, rather than playing straight. Possibly a combination of both.He wasn't technically able to play straight because his front foot went across his body and he was falling to the off side.
Well every part of that is wrong."Technical" suggests he doesn't have the skill to play a straight bat shot to that particular delivery.
