I've been flicking between the two matches and the cricket and it was noticeable that every female in Hull is fat no matter what age they are.

With FFP about to be relaxed in favour of City and Chelsea and with Arsenal having stock piled money for 10 years and Manure a worldwide license to print money - Liverpool are also rans with or without Rodgers. :artist:

"Look at Tottenham. If you spend £100m then you expect to be challenging for the league."
Bit awkward now what with Liverpool finishing 6th behind Spurs. They've also managed to lose Mr Liverpool and piss off their brightest young talent.

Good job Brent.

Yep nobody had a clue.
Think part of it is because with a main director of football the role of the manager kind of changes. Things like how good they are in the transfer market is pretty much irrelevant it's much more about tactical nous and being able to develop players through coaching etc. You get the sense someone like Harry Redknapp wouldn't be half as effective in such a system.

Michael Cox pointing out that Drogba has only scored more than 12 goals twice in a premier league season.

Where would you guys put him amongst the best PL strikers?

I'm quite a fan on his - He was strong, able to hold up the ball for others, or turn and fire in something thunderous. He'd come through in the big games too (usually v us in a cup final). Diving cheating **** mind, but the type you'd forgive if it was in your team.

Yeah at his best he basically negated any need for Chelsea to pass the ball competently, because putting it anywhere in the opponent's half generally meant Drogba somehow winning it or getting a free kick. So they could just pack the team full of guys who were great at defending. Also probably more of a big-game player than any Prem striker ever.

Since saying "can't compare them" is a cop-out I'd put him behind Henry, Blackburn-era Shearer, and probably Suarez and Aguero. But better than guys like Bergkamp, Van Nistelrooy and Rooney. Basically towards the bottom of the very top tier.
