Correct but it is boy who cried wolf syndrome whether or not Rahane is the real deal.

The Indian Media certainly were pumped and the fans on here to a lesser degree about first Ishant and then Shami after they had initial success as well.

Ehh... the forecast seems to see that the rain should stay away through most of the first two sessions. If England aren't at least 6 or 7 down by then, then NZ may well welcome the rain.

Lord's doesn't wear out so the batting 4th thing is only really a psychological factor. The conditions overhead are what count. New Zealand chasing 220 in conditions like yesterday then it could be a great contest. If it's clear overhead or the ball mysteriously does nothing then it should be a cakewalk.

A long way to go though before New Zealand even have to chase that many.

It may have done at some point in the past such as in a hot dry August, but in May when the weather has been barely distinguishable from winter... nah

Not really, Swann used to get a few but he was a bloody good bowler. Nothing as good as him on either side so doubt spin will play a huge part. All about above.
