Just a thought on the excellent first two overs by Southee and Boult today - if there is any IPL rust affecting our players (and I have discounted this factor) it ought to be mostly gone by now. This may mean that our bowlers bowl much better this innings.

No balls should be called by the third umpire, particularly as the on field guys don't seem to bother checking.
Mike Selvey on twitter explained what's going on in UMPS heads with the no balls nowadays.

First point is they stand a lot further back than they used to mainly because they don't want to get hit (fair enough)

Knock on being its a lot harder for them to see the no balls.

Also they're very reluctant to call the marginal NBs because if they do and it turns out it was a fair ball the decision can't be reversed.

The point of course being that they shouldn't be calling the noballs and that it should be done with technology.

Was listening to the CW comms and they showed the commentary box with Nasser on screen. For a moment there I was wondering why the audio and video didn't match.
