Will find out in 8 minutes when it goes up on sky tv. Cricinfo says it as green as the outfield. That comment was yesterday. Probably have given it a couple of trims since.
They're now saying it's got a greenish tinge but is nothing like the pitch when India played at Lord's last year.

I've been pretty quiet in the build up as I had no idea how I thought this series might go and I like a lot of the NZ side so don't want to sling mud but...

**** yahs. Home summer is back. After a winter of ****e and everyone sticking it to the English side I hope we smack the **** out of them. Keep them looking for that 9th Test win against us. One win by an innings and another by 10 wickets

Usually, the more desperately fans want their team to bowl first, the more deceptive is the green. Or if it is green, it gets wasted.

I know this as I used to get far too excited about a green pitch as they became rarer and rarer.

Worried Cook will get eaten for breakfast by Boult. Bowls the perfect length, moving it away, but because he angles it in Cook will have to play a lot more than he'd want to.

Last one was a genuine in swinger to the left hander. I remember Boult bowled a few two years ago. Can he only do it with a duke, or does he do it at home and I've just missed it?

he doesn't do it often. Tends to stick with the straight-seamer as the change up.
