First day belongs to Pakistan despite BD winning the first session. Azhar Ali recovered well after the initial hiccup. Younis batted positively and kept the runs flowing. Planning was poor from BD in general on a pitch which offered movement and could not capitalize. Team selection was wrong and I'm not sold out on Shahid. Shahadat is a disgrace. Nothing more to add about him. Shakib bowling poorly and seems like he's unable to adjust in longer version. Hom can neither bowl nor bat. Would have been better if a proper bowler was played in place of him. Let's see what Chandika's favorite son Soumya does with the bat.

He favoured anti Azhar tweets before he got the captaincy as well. I dunno if he meant to troll with the above tweet, but surely he should have seen how some would be upset with it? Especially as he is out of the team for disciplinary reasons. No other country would have players so naive.

I honestly don't think he meant to troll those guys, maybe Misbah but in his tweet before that, he praised Younis and yeah Afridi and he are meant to be close. I just think he was been really bloody naive if he didn't see how people would take that as a dig at senior players.

Yeah I think part of the point of Hom is that Bangladesh don't really need a fourth specialist bowler with Shakib and all the batting allrounders in the top seven, so Hom who himself is basically a batting allrounder slots in.. but Mahmudullah is straight up a better bowler than him. If not a third quick it'd make more sense to pick even a specialist batsman, or a keeper so Rahim has less on his plate.
