Not disappointed at that decision, much as I wanted Manny to win it. Seemed a fair outcome. Mayweather fought cleverly, as he's saying now, he kept Pacquiao on the outside where it suited Floyd best.

They'll do it again in 12 months for another 400 mil.

Been a pretty even fight up to now (round 11) IMO. Which probably means the judges will score it for Mayweather, being as its Vegas and all.

Yeah that was a crazy card. Could wear 116-112 but the outlier was crazy.
Not sure what fight you were watching, Manny won 3 rounds absolute max.

It was as much of a thrashing as it could have been without a knockout.

The interviewer was a dick though, saying that he and his ringside buddies thought the judges got it right. Give Manny a break, asshole.

But two thumbs up for

The fight reminded me of the Tua/Holyfield fight in terms of the way it played out.

Pacman had a few bright moments but overall just didn't show up for the fight. Mayweather just too good overall.

In the big fights does the man with the smaller reach ever win?

Both interviews were dire. Mayweather just kept avoiding the questions (though tbf he gave a lot of credit to manny and was pretty gracious) while Pacquiao was just being sore.

I haven't watched too many fights. Some one please explain how Mayweather was clearly better. Mostly, it was Pac trying to throw some punches and Mayweather just running around.

Floyd landed about 50 clean punches. Pacquiao landed fewer than 10.

Well he hardly had Mayweather on the back foot. You have to remember that Pac is more aggressive than Mayweather, so it's natural that Mayweather would try to deflect rather than attack.

Okay, thanks. Got it now. Certainly enjoyed watching it, though clearly don't understand much boxing. :)

Floyd is very smart (in boxing terms) and a great fighter

But best ever?

No way, not even close on that performance (and many others)

Mayweather waited until Pac had miles on the clock and could fight him at a weight that suited him best

TBE would have taken Manny out easily at that weight and at this stage of his career

I think Mayweather is quite entitled to claim he's the best ever. He's without question the best defensive technician ever, has a perfect record across a long career, and has beaten every challenger convincingly.

Plenty of people can argue the point but he's definitely up there.

Dont be fooled by those who point you just to the raw numbers. Manny lost that fight but effective aggression is part of the scoring criteria.

“A hostile or forceful behavior designed to create a desired or intended result, or produce a favorable impression.”

He didnt just plod forward but he was the aggressor for most of the fight. I gave him a couple of close rounds based on that. He just didnt land enough clean punches (another scoring criteria) to win the fight.
