Norwood's on Fire
Just looking at the table, aside from Bolton, I really don't think I could have picked three sides I'd rather see go down

12.15 KOs all round, that kind of sucks. In my day we used to get Sunday treatment for the final day.

Hope you guys do it.

Great that Rotherham won. Needing to get a result away at Leeds at the weekend would have been dire. Hooray for the Millers.

Liverpool continuing their strong end to the season tonight.
The downturn coincided directly with Rodgers spinning that story to the press about how he came up with the 3-4-3 during an all-nighter in his office with his toaster.

Looking at the fixtures, think Ipswich losing at Blackburn is the best bet for the Bees. They'll need to win by two or three (on mobile so can't see goals scored only GD) but seems achievable

The downturn coincided with Gerrard's slip against Chelsea, putting an end to their jammy win streak.

Yeah, as poor as Derby have in the last couple of months it is hard to imagine them losing to Reading. We have scored more goals than Ipswich so a win by 2 would do it, I think they will get the point they need but it is still possible. Usually when we have been in the play-offs it has been after just missing out on automatic promotion, to sneak in 6th would give the would give the whole thing such a different feel. Given the way we have been playing of late I could not confidently predict us beating Middlesbrough or Norwich but the pressure would all be on them.

International Coach
My first memory of Lukic is him punching the ball into his own net against Rangers in the 1992/93 Battle of Britain.

Fair to say that I don't rate him.
One of my only memories of him as a keeper, the other being Lee Sharpe rounding him and scoring from a stupid angle.
As for Woods, only really remember him being naff on that tour to America we had in 92 (?)

Always thought Martyn was underrated compared to others, obviously playing for an unfashionable team in Palace and sporting an unfashionable moustache (worse than Seamans) didn't help

Allen for Gerrard notwithstanding, why the hell did Rodgers go with the same XI that looked so inept against West Brom?! Absolutely baffled, and not fun waking up early for.

Still the right man for the job?

Well, they put 6 past Porto without Robben, so it may still happen. Is Ribery coming back for the Barcelona game?

Ugh. That's terrible.

Worrying that the scanning process aren't catching this, either...apparently he's been so long in a coma that he can not be reasonably resuscitated.

Might have asked this before, but what are the best football podcasts? The arseblog one is the only one I listen to atm.

Not sure if anyone has been following the story, but this is no good:

BBC Sport - Gregory Mertens' condition deteriorates after heart problem
That's awful.

Been meaning to ask this for a while. What is it about footballers that so many of them (relative to other sportspersons) seem to collapse from heart related problems while on the field? Is it the fact that its 45 minutes of constant movement with no real rest and frequent bursts of acceleration required tat causes these problems to get aggravated? I'm not aware about too many such incidents in other sports, so forgive me if I'm wrong.

So many out there but of those I've heard Second Captains is miles ahead of everything else.
