Best thing that could happen imo. There's no way he should be opening, or even playing for the side right now, so it's better he fails horribly here and is dropped before Mitch & Co get him in their sights.

They'll deny being complacent, but how else do you explain Graves' dumb comments before the tour and an itinerary of one warm up match that would struggle to beat Cheam's 2nd XI?

Nah, they've been so **** for so long complacency is not going to be a thing. If you wanted to talk about psychological issues you probably go the other way and talk about their lack of confidence explaining how tentative they've been.

They won their last test series didn't they?

They're simply completely out of touch coming into this game off the back of so sort of preparation at all. Because they thought they could turn up and beat this lot with their eyes closed. Graves' arrogant stupidity seems endemic of the attitude around the side, and they're paying the price.

you can sit there and talk about how tentative and negative england have been, but that completely ignores just how disciplined the west indies have been so far with the ball.

they've bowled very good areas.
