I thought the feud had nothing to do with WCW?
What I said was that Sting had come out and said it wasn't and on that basis I was expecting him to win.

I wouldn't dream of questioning that it became about that on Mania, with the way it was commentated and the stables etc.

Seriously. Even if you'd have hated WWE rising tall in the end. How good would the invasion had been if we'd had the actual proper WCW top guys instead of what we got

Heh, wasn't there like 50 members of the NWO at some stage? If the Network is ever available in India it's worth getting just for that kind of lols.
Can't you get it with a VPN? Mate of mine had it here as soon as it was launched in the states, long before it was rolled out in the UK.

**** still pays $9.99 rather than £9.99 despite turning off the geoblock :@

Haha yeah, there would be new members each week. What made it even more confusing was that there were about 2 or 3 versions of the NWO (Wolfpac etc...) running at once, each with loads of members. Just became impossible to make any sense of.

And for some reason, about ten years later, TNA becomes obsessed with having loads of massive stables as well. Surely a coincidence.

If you thought I was about that then I've come across different to what I intended. My point is Vince should be putting over Sting as legit instead of retaining petty grudges. He signed a contract with WWE so he's one of ours now kind of a way. Belittling that is what pissed me off, it serves no business purpose.

I meant 'you' more generally tbf.

IMO him losing to HHH via sledgehammer doesn't delegitimise him, the fact he needed to resort to that puts Sting over IMO - the commentary though, was unnecessary.

Even the guys who are now "one of ours" have to pay their dues though. The success of loads of ex-WCW guys shows that he's prepared to put them over as strong as anyone once they've been around for a while and shown they can add value to the product.

Yeah, this was by far the worst aspect of it for me. I could have let a few of JBL's remarks go, but literally everything he said was an attempt to put the boot in. It was annoying as much as anything.

Makes up for it with cricket/non-american sport references. /s

I mean I have zero problem with the heel commentator doing that to an extent (I mean it's his job really) but the play-by-play or face colour guy needs to counter it. I know King did to an extent but then he backed down, and Cole was siding with JBL.

I'm a big fan of JBL's commentary in general. Plays off a Heenan style plenty. But in that match, whose side are they on aside, he was poor

Haha that's just too bad imo. This is just the every day equivalent to you complaining to your boss about a colleague (that is more suitable, more experienced, and more highly qualified than you are) getting a promotion instead of you.

Sure, I feel sorry for Reigns a bit as well, but he's no more entitled to be the champ than anyone else is, and needs to get his head down and work hard rather than having a cry.
Yeah this sums up my views on Reigns well. It's all good that he seems to be trying hard and that's worth feeling sorry for him for. But there are lots of guys in the WWE who try hard e.g Dolph Ziggler, and Alex Riley's NXT stuff a few weeks a go screams with that point. But of course, Rollins has been better than Reigns and so deserved to be champion more than him.

There's a lot more value in a heel champ at the minute as well, as the roster is stacked with faces. Brock is pretty much a face now, so your main event heels are thin on the ground. Which means you can have Rollins V FACE without needing to resort to the same match over and over.

andmark viewing this thread. Your thoughts mate?
I'm with you and everything you've said. An additional thing is that if it's going to be Sting vs Taker next year, then now Sting needs a big win somewhere to make the match seem like a full-on, competitive match.

Watched the original Suplex City match for the first time today. Brutal. Lesnar mocking 'taker and Cena in one go with his sitting up was gun. Guy who came up with that idea is a genius.

On another topic though, looking at online WWE merchandise, is literally 90% Cena related? Only looked on snapdeal as of yet but it can't be like that everywhere can it?
