Lesnar main evented in, what, less than a year (far less if you count SummerSlam '02, not just WMs)
Yokozuna did it in about six months too iirc
Whatever. You know what I mean though. Lesnar had a very believable progression up the ladder from his debut till Summerslam 02, which wasn't a long time. Don't know about Yoko.

Reigns literally went from tag team to one big ppv match vs Orton to WM main event. That's ****ing absurd.

I now like Rollins' music because of the association with the cash-in. I used to hate it.
Yeah me too. It was a very good decision to start the theme from the guitar riff, and not the opening of the theme which has those ****ty drums.

The first 12 seconds should just be cut from the theme. Sucks balls. The rest of the theme is fine, if a bit generic.

It isn't that absurd. You shouldn't have to have precedent to launch a new path for someone. Else, new booking ground will never be trodden. The Shield was a uniquely dominant sustained team of newcomers. The problem was the terribly booked Rumble and the leaks. As much as I love listening to the dirt-sheets, it would seem WWE are getting pretty bad at keeping secrets. Reigns to win the Rumble and Batista to win the Rumble were common-knowledge at the beginning of the night. And yet WWE kept a tight seal on The Rock and Rousey at Mania and Rollins cash-in. Everyone in the crowd knew that either Bryan or Reigns would win Royal Rumble 2015. When Bryan was eliminated, it was a totally foregone conclusion. And yet, WWE seems to attempt to make it even more obvious throughout the rest of the match. It was the obviousness which doomed Reigns. Ok, I bet that wasn't massively coherent but **** it.

He dominated the 2014 Rumble iirc. His 2015 win could be seen as a progression from that. I guess the big problem is that they didn't shift plans on the back of his injury. Has he not been out for months they would have had plenty of time to dispel such comments.

Agree with GIMH that the injury really hurt his push. The original plan was for Reigns to win that match at Survivor series and remove the authority from power. If that'd happened, Reigns would've got atleast a few more fans on his side and would have been made to look like a true force because of how well done that match was overall. Sure, he still would've been booed at the Rumble coz of how bad that match was booked, but the fans were already cold on him before thr rumble anyway. Being there at SS would've helped him a lot.

Finn Ballor's entrance is the best new entrance I have seen in a long time. His theme > Rollins'.

Why the **** are they forcing Reigns to cut promos in a way he isn't comfortable with? His promos are what Cena's promos would look like if they were done by a robot.

Reigns clutching his vest like Bane in Dark Knight Rises.

Guy building his character is a ****ing moron.

I think I am love with Dean Ambrose after that.
'Wrestling ability' and 'promos' aside, they're all very cool. But in my eyes, there will never be anything half as cool as holding up the title in Brock Lesnar's face while laughing as Rollins did on Raw.

I'd say:

Reigns: Ok in the ring, awful on mic
Ambrose: Mediocre in the ring, awesome on the mic
Rollins: Decent promos, amazing in ring

Easy to see why Rollins and Ambrose are connecting with the audience better despite the fact that Rollins has lost 18 of his last 19 matches in WWE, and Ambrose has barely won a match in what seems like ages. It's coz they've got atleast something about their work up at 100% . And Reigns, despite being hugely protected is getting booed out of the building. Just don't script his promos and he'll be fine, coz he can be uber cool when they aren't giving him dumb kiddy jokes.

Oozes badass
