but that's not why umpires hate batsmen padding up in particular to the extent that even marginal lbws are firedbecause it's not completely different logic? In both cases the batsman is trying to use their body to defend the stumps. Umpires hate that **** because it makes their job hard.
Not in the Smith example ffs.because it's not completely different logic? In both cases the batsman is trying to use their body to defend the stumps. Umpires hate that **** because it makes their job hard.
i dont gamble, and tbf, i didn't explicitly say watson would top score, just that smith would probably get out before WatsonI want to know if Spikey put money on Watson top scoring.
well said DundalisYou are drunk. It's wanker or old person. No and/or either. Old people just being old. Calling an old person a wanker is just disrespectful.
The batsman is using his bat to defend the stumps. Oh poor umpires, if it pitches in line and hitting, give him out.because it's not completely different logic? In both cases the batsman is trying to use their body to defend the stumps. Umpires hate that **** because it makes their job hard.
Yeah but he's intentionally moving into that position, which leaves him cleanly in front of the stumps. Ergo, he's intentionally moving in front of the stumps, which blocks the bowler's target, a strategy which isn't going to be view favourably by umpires.he's not doing it with the intention of his legs blocking the stumps in case he misses the ball though, he's doing it because he wants people to bowl to his strengths.
Thanks Dundalis, good posting. You are drunk. It's wanker or old person. No and/or either. Old people just being old. Calling an old person a wanker is just disrespectful.
you say this like there's an actual intelligent strategy to itI don't think Wahab understands how sledging works
When you take a stride forward to drive through the off you're intentionally putting your body between the ball and the stumps.Because you're intentionally putting your body between the ball and the stumps.
and if he hits the ball with his bat, he won't be given out! What a miracle! The batsman is using to use his bat to defend the stumps. Oh poor umpires, if it pitches in line and hitting, give him out.
