Urgh 2/4 wickets poking at balls that could have been left.

Probably better than slogging out to the man in the deep tbf. Still annoying.

Fair play to Jordan, he was the one who gave them the momentum by bowling pies but he has stopped it again by coming back and breaking that partnership. Been a good few overs for us and Mahmudullah has gone into his shell now after almost being at a run a ball for his first 40 runs.

There is no argument like this. If Shakib hadn't scored in the last game, Bangla would have been gonners.
Everyone scored against Scotland. I'd argue Tamim and Mahmadullah were more crucial to the runchase than Shakib was. They built the platform.

But even then, its a good innings, but it was an Associate nation. And BD always look a different side against such nations. They look confident; possibly complacent. The field better, bowl with more discipline, bat with more assurance.

But then you put them in a pressure game against a Major Nation, and they lose all that. They get nervy, edgy...bowlers try to hard, fielders fumble, batsmen keep trying to get bat on ball. As as soon as they are on the backfoot, they lose their belief, lose their focus, and let the game slip away.

It happens time and time again. They look so comfortable and dominant and confident against the Associates, but then when they face another Test nation they fold under the slightest bit of pressure. It's so frustrating. Happens every ****ing time.

Today is another such game. Shakib walks in under a bit of pressure. Crucial game against major nation. And what does he do? Poke loosely at one outside off.

It's so frustrating. So annoying. So typically Bangladesh.

I know what you mean *****. The position Bangladesh were in with 80/2 or so, you would think they would do fine if it was some other team. But with Bangladesh you know some thing jittery or stupid will keep happening.

Its posible they would have won that game even without a meaningful contribution against Scotland from Shakib. Rahim was batting like a boss, Nasir is good and Mortaza can bat as well, both would hae no fears of Scotland's death bowling.

And it's so annoying that of all the players its Tamim and Shakib who would play such soft, stupid shots.

FFS plz just make a useful contribution atleast once in such a game. Score a fifty when we really need it. Winning this would be such a huge boost for the side, more than a record-breaking chase against Scotland.

Mahmadullah such a beast tho.

Was seeing Mushfiqur's stats in the morning. Has got 7 50s and a 100 or some thing v Zimbabwe. If you take that out, scores a 50 every 10 or so innings for Bangladesh. He seems to have improved slightly in last couple of years though as a batsman.
