***Official*** India and England in Australia ODI Tri-Series 2015

Yeah it can be, but even when it's a tough chase it rarely has anything to do with run rate pressure. A 200-220 chase on a really bowler-friendly wicket just becomes like a one innings Test match. Now I obviously understand why Test diehards would prefer such a thing, and I definitely prefer Tests too, for me an ODI has its own charm and that takes something away from it.
But once every now and then is enjoyable, right? These 200 v 201 would be what, one in 8-10 ODIs? If they became the norm (which will never happen) then maybe it takes something away from ODI cricket, but if the batsmen have to work up a sweat once every two series or once in a World Cup, I'm definitely okay with that. I am a bowling nuffy though so I understand my view is different to others.

For some reason the Australia vs India final has been cancelled. so I'll probs watch Novak vs Murray since I'm going to the game.

India flying home :D.

Sri Lanka should round out the obvious top 4 because while they're not complete they have fantastic top four batting and bowling, but I've been picking England to go far for a while now. They're infuriating like that.
SL bowling does not have a "fantastic top four". More like a bunch of Thisaras.

Quite honestly, England are getting the best preparation out of all the teams for the WC. It should set them up for a good performance.

Malinga, Kulasekara, Mathews, Senanayake and Herath will be one of the better yet the most underrated bowling unit in the cup.

Sena and Herath especially.
Spin bowling is hard to do in Australasia, so I'm not sure they'll be especially effective down here. I do think Sri Lanka could do something though. Particularly if Malinga bowls like he did in the Asia Cup.

Thinking Australia, New Zealand, England and Sri Lanka will be the final 4.

I think pitches will slow down just that little bit towards the business end of the world cup, and with Sidney, Melbourne and Adelaide as the quarter/semi/final grounds I think they could come into play at that point. Not so sure about NZ pitches but w/e.

From India's point of view I'm sort of glad we were put into bat on relatively difficult conditions so they aren't completely shocked in a WC game with some help for the fast men. I'm not as worried as I perhaps should be given the grounds we're playing on. Still have issues though, gotta sort out the batting positions and keep a check on injuries. Binny first change.. ugh..

On top of that, Dhoni should stick to basics and stop being over smart.

To be honest, I don't have an issue with Binny playing, it's just that I only see him as a guy who is nice to have as a bowling option, so if the conditions suit him or if Dhoni needs some extra overs/variation then he can chip in for 4-5 overs (more if conditions are helpful or if he starts well). But the fact that it almost becomes mandatory for him to bowl 10 overs each match is nothing something I like. Mind you are other pacers aren't exactly incredible, but still. I really feel Rayudu is surplus to the whole team.

dafuq, how does Rayudu average 41?
tbf to him, he has had reasonable performances, he got 2 half centuries in England and had a good home series against WI/SL. So it's not like he hasn't performed. But his technique and shot selected simply aren't good enough for me to really want to see him batting for India in big games.
