Not sure, when were new balls at each end introduced remembering Guppy's been striking at about 68-70 as opposed to his career SR of around 82 in the last 12 months.

Nah, the Vettori decision was just a result of the way the DRS rules are set up. They have no more reason to feel pissed about that than they do about an umpire's call lbw review.

DRS in general has turned out to be a farce. It was supposed to eliminate blunders and remove ambiguity, but it seems to create those things as often as it fixes them.

It's a long way from perfect, but it still eliminates more 'shockers' than prior to DRS regardless of what anyone wants to claim. The biggest problem for me is captains too often waste reviews on tight ones & hence often lose them when the shocker comes.

Rubbish, there will always be limitations so you are bound to have situations where the limits of the technologies make it hard to accurately adjudicate, however the likelihood of getting the right decision has increased massively overall. There are rules and limits but just because some people don't like them it doesn't mean the system itself is flawed.

Could be something in that then. And would be interesting to look at stats across the board whether teams generally score less of the first 10 overs since the introduction.

Agreed up to a point. If clear cut opportunities are lost because senior batsmen often want two bites of the cherry, is it really working as intended? I don't know what the solution is to that.
