Elliott's played his role well in these last two games, hasn't he?

Was surprising to see him brought back into the side, but I remember being disappointed that he was left out of the 2011 WC squad so really hope he gets to make amends this time around

I too was surprised when they brought him back in. He was my favourite player from a while back but I thought he'd done his dash for the BCs. Good to see him hit a few runs. Saying that it looks like he's just hauled out. No, it was just good fielding.

Would have been a great catch but he landed hard on the practice pitch area and lost control.

Dumb bowling.

When the batting team is 5 wickets down you don't need to bowl wide Yorkers. Bowl good length because the batsman aren't (or shouldn't be) looking to slog just yet.

If these two can just bat another 7-8 overs, we'll get to 300. I rate NcCullum, Southee & Boult to chip in with one of these two for 6-7 overs.

Yeah, been a terrific partnership but Lanka really brought this upon themselves.

This is brilliant batting obviously, but it's important they don't get carried away quite yet. If they can even milk 7-8 runs at low risk for the next 7-8 overs, we'll be set up beautifully going into the 5.
