Listen to the commentators on Sky pick him apart for his technique changing, then listen to them do the same thing on the radio, then realise that your fellow forum posters probably don't know as much as those paid to commentate on it.
We all ****ing all know Taylor's technique is poor and this is particularly badly exposed at the start of an innings, what are you trying to prove? You just blab the same points over and over as though you're some genius who's seen something everyone else hasn't, when in reality everyone else realised years ago and CBF arguing.

So sensitive over your little "Ross is the best, anyone who questions him must be racist" player aren't you?

Ross has been piss poor this last year, which coincides with him not doing the hard yards he had done previously. You don't want to believe that, but that's exactly what's happened. Maybe being a father means he's not as much into his cricket anymore.

Doull was a pretty fun bloke to play against as well, at Prem level at least.
Which made him more of a prick to bowl at, you could never really get angry at him because he'd be complimenting you for the good ball you just bowled that he thick edged over the heads of your slips for four.

You are truly, truly delusional.

Most teams only get two against England - very few get three... you've also got to keep in mind it's a World Cup year happening during what would normally be our second test series of the summer - theres 3 tests, theres your 11 for the year.
Hope you're right. I'd be delighted if we play 11 tests a year. Not as confident as you are since the FTP was turned on it's head following the announcement by the 'the big 3'.

jesus

anyway, what i was about to say was I could get behind Eranga, Pradeep, Herath and Kaushal as an attack moving forward.

Lucky lucky Kane. Damn Herath has the ability to bowl a magic delivery out of nowhere.

It comes down to our board to be honest, we need to be happy playing Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and teams like Pakistan who aren't getting much test cricket either. Once we're starting to threaten being a Top 3 side, we'll find it easier getting the three test series that take us from eight tests a year up to twelve.

Another drop against Williamson - he really needs to make them count. Every 30 or so runs he's giving up a chance.

Loving Kane getting dropped every 30 or 40 runs. It's the next best thing to him actually eradicating the tendency to do something silly at about that point.

Ross Taylor is a nervy starter because he's takes time to work out where his feet go and where off stump is. He has very rarely looked assured when he first comes in (his 154* might be the last time it happened). He's like many, many world class batsmen in this respect. Getting started is hard. Ponting was dodgy early. Clarke is dodgy early. Graeme Smith too. Like all good players though, once Taylor gets to 20 he makes you pay.

Next.

When I was listening to them commentate about the change in technique, I did not hear them once mention "lazyness" as the reason for it. In fact, I heard them discuss that he must have been working on it with McMillan in the nets given the similarity to a [dubious] technique that he employed mid-career and that the change was so substantial that it couldn't have happened by osmosis.
