Recently they have, only really England and India play more tests.
Been good that you have, helped Southee, Boult and Williamson develop quicker. Got 3 top players now to add to Taylor and McCullum, if you had played half the games they may still have been potential.

Anyone else feel Sri Lanka missed a trick not including their young spinner Kaushal?
after the lousy showing by the SL pace department in the first test I actually predicted they would. He's a very "fizzy" kind of spinner and would offer a great foil to Herath. On the other hand, he'd probably be in the place of pradeep who's turned out to be the best pacer from either side this test.

As per my previous post, Williamson and Watling both making batting look easier against Herath than against the pace bowlers.

That was only really the year 2013 in which we played around 12-13 tests. Since then only 9 in 2014 & it's looking like just 7-8 this year. And if the fact we're still only getting 2 test series against England is anything to go by, we'll be relying on the minnows.

They bowled first on a green pitch and Herath barely bowled in that first innings. I don't think so, tbh.
Yeah, but it's like us and Wagner - you knew the Basin would flatten out after the first day and at that point, you'd want bowlers who can generate chances with dead conditions.

Most teams only get two against England - very few get three... you've also got to keep in mind it's a World Cup year happening during what would normally be our second test series of the summer - theres 3 tests, theres your 11 for the year.
